JOHN GAINOR
Founder & Managing Director
John is the founder and Managing Director of IRONWOOD Capital Partners, a New York based investment firm focused on capital raising and project finance for renewable energy, decarbonization and climatetech. The firm has experience in institutional capital markets, private equity, venture capital and family offices, with a focus on raising capital and project finance.
John holds a degree in Neurobiology from the University of California, Berkeley. His extensive experience includes founding several companies including REALGOLDX™ Global Corp, a physical gold trading company; Amazing Technology Corp, a hedge fund backed Oracle partner that consolidated key firms in the Value Added Reseller ecosystem and sold to Oracle; and ICON CAPITAL RESERVE SA, a company that has fused distributed ledgers, cryptography and physical gold bullion to create a platform for UHNWs and family offices to preserve and exchange intergenerational wealth digitally and privately.
John also worked at RightSignature, an e-signature company that sold to Citrix Systems in 2014.
